COmmunity engagement

One of Flame’s Core Values is “Community” We believe that growth occurs in a community setting. Children of the urban poor are not islands; they are part of communities. We believe that helping communities will also directly help the child. We will build both the individual and the community that surrounds them, working to improve entire communities as well as individual children. Because of this core belief, we have a dedicated team that engage with the communities that the children and teenagers come from. They are the face of Flame in the community, liaising with the local authorities, conducting assessments of new children and families, mentoring our full sponsored children and providing training to families and teenagers on important life issues.
